Three (3) Vintage Golf Themed Colorful Road Pamphlets w/Golf Covers
Travel brochures from the 1930's and prior have long had some of the best illustrations of the time, often using golf to lure a tourist or vacationer into their city or area. It worked, and these three of the kind are a testament to why. (1) East Coast of Florida brochure shows two 'flapper' ladies of the time on the east side of the Florida outline, with a golfer with his clubs approaching them from the west. It is dated 1922 and contains an additional golf scene with a red sports car in the foreground of 'America's Winter Vacation Land.' There is wear including missing paper on the bottom two cover corners. (2) Zurich Schweiz (Switzerland) which remains the country's largest city and financial and cultural center of Switzerland. A lady golfer is post-swing atop the city with the nearby 7th hole tee marker and the sun's rays shining down. In Swiss, there is a 'Sport' section with golf or golfspielplatze as it is written first. Impressive condition for its age and intended usage. (3) Lake Placid NY and The Adirondacks is a idealistic watercolor scene with a lady post-swing with a vested gentleman golfer with club in hand and young caddy looking on. 'Be Placid Minded' is the tagline on the base of the cover. It also is in very good condition with a mountain scene with a plane flying by and sailboat in the water. Also remains in good to very good condition.
