Andy North Signed 1978 US Open at Cherry Hills Program
The classy red and white program distributed that week at Cherry Hills is signed by its 1978 US Open champion Andy North in this lot on the cover in black sharpie. With par at Cherry Hills outside Denver, Colorado established at 71 for the 1978 United States Open, Andy North would lose to that score by a mere one shot at 285 for the four rounds. The nice thing for North the rest of the field was no better off than two over, and Andy had his first of two U.S. Open titles (1985). It remains in good condition, as shown in the accompanying lot photos. James Spence Authentication (JSA) letter of authenticity (ALOA) comes with this lot.
