United States Team Captain Bobby Jones would be honored at the 1958 Eisenhower Trophy - World Amateur Golf Championship and presented the 'Freedom of St Andrews.' Jones joined an elite group of only three other individuals to receive the prestigious honor since Benjamin Franklin received it in 1759. Career amateur Bobby Jones was made mobile at the tournament by a special golf buggy, taking in the 1958 United States win hole by hole. It would also represent Bobby Jones' final visit to St Andrews, with his health failing him. Presented in this auction lot is a 1958 World Amateur Championship photo of Bobby Jones sitting in his electric wheelchair with six other gentlemen. 8" x 6"
