Golf fans were unable to enter the gate as a patron that first week of April in 1952 were huddled around their radios and reading newspapers to follow the affable Slammin Sammy Snead championship quest, braving the strong wind and cool temperatures to claim the Masters title by four strokes over Jack Burke. For bidding consideration in this lot is a 1952 Masters Tournament radio badge used by c. Harold Campbell-NBC. It was pinned on his shirt or hat to identify himself as one of the fine media members relaying their best and most accurate take on the events that were transpiring before their eyes for the masses that weren't able to secure a ticket. This badge is in good condition, with only the expected slight overall wear from the hard work that was put in that week.
