Tiger Woods 1997 Augusta Chronicle Masters Newspaper Plaque W/ Box
Presented here is a large plaque recreating the cover of the Augusta Chronicle from April 14, 1997 for special order, the day after Tiger Woods won his first Masters title, and first career Major. 'Historic' titles the article, with the subtitle 'Woods launches new era.' That could not have been more accurate, Woods winning four more times at The Masters and changed the game of golf along the way. The red shirt donning exuberant Tiger Woods was captured with a patented winning fist pump celebration on the 72nd hole. This plaque measures 22 3/4" x 14 1/2".
