Silvertown 1932 Sterling Silver Hole In One Trophy With Silver King Mesh Golf Ball
Compliments of the Silvertown Co., this trophy was awarded for a Hole in One at the Kingswood Golf Club in 1932. The Kingswood Golf Club in Surrey England was designed by James Braid in 1928.
The trophy features 3 golf clubs mounted on a plinth with a Silver King mesh golf ball resting on the plinth between the clubs.
The label documenting the hole in one has a sterling hallmark for the London assay office for 1932 with a small “r” lion and leopard’s head.
Mr. R. Hugh French made the hole in one on the 149 yd 10th hole.
This eye catching trophy measures 6" tall and weighs .85 lbs. and mesh ball would display very well in the golf room or on a desk.
