1962 Ben Hogan's Contestant Badge American Golf Classic at Firestone C.C.

This vintage 1962 Ben Hogan Contestant Pin Badge came from the collection of a Firestone employee Ema Scibner who worked the American Golf Classic in the early to mid 1960’s. Our research shows Hogan was scheduled to play but scratched from the tournament before it began. Hence, the employee kept Hogan’s badge which is shown here. This was recently obtained from a Cleveland area golf collector. Arnold Palmer won the event shooting 276 and 5 shots below his nearest competitor.
