Bobby Jones 'How To Break 90' Swing Making Movie Culver Pictures Original Photo
Crystal clear and framed perfectly is Bobby Jones wearing split black and white pants and shoes to best demonstrate his left leading leg as he powers up in this snapshot of the swing. He was in the studio filming the 1933 Warner Bros. production 'How To Break 90.' It consisted of six short films that analyzed different parts of the game, including #2: Position and Back Swing - likely this photo as stamped 'BJ-21-#2' and depicting such. Stamped is the Culver Pictures media company. By many accounts Jones retired playing competitive golf to act and specifically star in both 'How I Play Golf', by Bobby Jones' (1931) and 'How to Break 90' (1933) for 18 short films in total. In very good condition, with excellent exaggerated dark and light contrast, is this photo with the appropriate stamping on its verso. 8" x 10"
