Rush Limbaugh's Personal 2010 St Andrews Commemorative Hickory Putter In Box
This is one of two such putters ever commissioned by the oldest golf club makers in the world.
The first putter was created to honor Arnold Palmer, a close friend of Babe Zaharias Foundation founder Hal Shaw, and of course one of the greatest
golfers of all time. The second putter was made to pay tribute to Rush Limbaugh, an
outstanding talent in the world of Radio and TV. After trying it out on the carpet in his home, he
got in touch to inquire if the grip could be made slightly larger like he was currently using and felt
more comfortable with, Shaw assured him it would be sent back to the St. Andrews Golf Co. to be
regripped as he requested. It was during this period we got in touch with Snag to see how long
for the turn around but all that came to a halt due to Rush’s cancer diagnosis. The final photo shoes the letter from St Andrews Golf Company to Rush Limbaugh explaining that this was a token of appreciation to him from the Babe Zaharias Foundation, prepared for the 2010 Open Championship at St Andrews, which will come with this lot. A signed letter of provenance from The Babe Zaharias Foundation founder Hal Shaw will also come with this lot. 35"
