The Seaton Carew Golf Club was founded in 1874 and is known as the 10th oldest golf club In England. This 5 & 5/8 ” x 3” trophy features a chalice resting on a spindle and supported by three golf cubs. It is mounted on a plinth with a band surround inscribed ‘ Seaton Golf Club, H.S. Leyman, Cock O’ the Green 1938”. “Cock O’ the Green refers to the famous 1803 etching by John Kay of obsessed golfer Alexander McKellar. Overall, a beautiful sterling trophy with a unique Inscription
