Vintage Game of Fives Leather "Golf" Ball
Handmade with a single piece of leather and laces joining the four external seams, presented here is a vintage 'game of fives' ball. There are two key differences between this ball and a leathery golf ball. The leathery golf ball is composed using three pieces of leather and internal stitching, different attributes than the aforementioned of the 'game of fives' ball in this lot. The 'game of fives' is played with a gloved hand by hitting the ball off the wall in similar fashion to handball and is described as 'like squash by played with gloved hands.' Please inspect the accompanying lot photos for a detailed condition report. While not technically a golf ball, this story and like-sized ball's aesthetics would both add nicely to your collection.
