2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles Team USA Trophy from Past PGA President Allen Wronowski

Unreservedly stunning and endlessly intricate is this gold plated official 2014 Ryder Cup Trophy showcasing the master craftsman engravings of Phil Mickelson and the eleven other United States player and Captain Tom Watson facsimile signatures wrapped around the matching gold plated plinth band. Centered is the stacked 'Allen Wronowski - Gleneagles - Scotland - 2014' on this seldom seen prize only issued to players, captains and PGA Presidents. Trophy recipient Allen Wronowski was PGA of America President in 2011-2012 and offered his leadership and experience to Team USA during the 2014 Ryder Cup. Wronoswski would go on to serve the PGA of America as the PGA Cup captain the following year in 2015. Difficult to look away from, this Ryder Cup exudes excellence in the classic trophy design that Samuel Ryder began in 1927. Precious metal makers marks are found upon examination on the bowl and at the bottom of the band. "The Ryder Cup" is also carefully added to the back side of the bowl in stylized deep engraving.

The first Ryder Cup played in Scotland since 1973 at Muirfield and only second overall, the European Team prevailed at Gleneagles behind stars Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose by a score of 16 1/2 to 11 1/2 in 2014. This example of the prestigious dual-handled trophy with a removable top, similar to Phil Mickelson's player version for instance, is 12" tall and the five-tiered wooden base has a diameter of 4." This example remains in excellent condition on its 10 year anniversary, as depicted in lot photos. This centerpiece is deserving of inclusion in the finest golf collections of the world, be it private or that of institutional or public nature.
