1963 Masters Tournament Clubhouse Badge - Mrs. Lloyd Mangrum
History would be made at the 1963 Masters Tournament, with this very badge gaining clubhouse access for the two-time Purple Heart recipient and 1946 US Open winner with movie star good looks Lloyd Mangrum's wife Eleta. Jack Nicklaus claimed victory by single stroke over Tony Lema at the 1963 Masters Tournament. This also marked Gene Sarazen's last time to make the cut at Augusta, not to mention Horton Smith's final Masters appearance. In similar fashion to series badges, the clubhouse badges changed color and style slightly on occasion over the years. The forest green 'Club House' badge here was presented to those patrons with heightened tournament status for the 1963 Masters Tournament. These were undated for a very short time in the early 1960's, prior to the dated 1964 design. This metal badge remains in good condition, with deep coloring and its original paper nameplate. 2 1/4" x 1 1/2"
