2018 The Open at Carnoustie Final Round Course Flown Hole #6 'Hogan's Alley' Flag
Jordan Spieth was tied for the lead at the 2018 Open Championship in the final round until he encountered Hole #6, in which this very flag marked atop the flagpole. The double bogey erased his 8-under score from the top of the leaderboard and replaced it with a 6-under to tie Francesco Molinari, who played par golf until a 2-under final 5 holes and the win. The 6th hole at Carnoustie Golf Links is referred to as "Hogan's Alley." It would be named in 2003 to remember Ben Hogan's 1953 victory, from the year he won every major he contested. This flag was flown during the 2018 Open Championship final round in which Molinari claimed his career-defining title and remains in good condition with welcomed overall slight wear and its original mounting plastic cylinder insert intact.
