Payne Stewart Tournament Black Top-Flite Golf Pants with White NFL Socks
Payne Stewart's personal tournament-used signed black Top Flite branded Bill Bass plus fours and white knee-high NFL socks are proudly presented in this lot. A unique clothing partnership that will likely never be duplicated was Payne Stewart's deal with the National Football League. For years Payne would be outfitted by the NFL in the closest team to that week's tournament host club; as if the fans needed anymore reason to pull for the golfer. Here is Payne Stewart's Tournament Worn black pants with velcro straps at the bottom, making way for the white NFL knee-high socks also in this lot - also unique to Stewart. There is a significant ownership tag shown in photo number 6 with a light 'Stewart' handwritten on the 'Name' line along with the other filled out, also lightly. These were part of his Raiders ensemble worn in a California-based tournament. Please note that the pants contain small holes at the bottom of the leg shown in photo five. It is the 25th anniversary of his first major championship, the 1989 PGA Championship at Kemper Lakes and 25th of his 1999 US Open that returns to Pinehurst next month.
