1962 Seattle Open Program, Pairing Sheet & Letterhead - Jack Nicklaus 2nd Pro Win
Drastically underattended in comparison to Jack Nicklaus' first victory, here is a 1962 Seattle Open Program, Pairing Sheet & Letterhead from The Golden Bear's second pro win! With the Seattle World's Fair held in proximity, the Seattle Open in 1962 attracted Arnold Palmer, Billy Casper, Tony Lema, Ken Venturi, Dave Hill, Julius Boros, Doug Sanders, along with Hollywood stars Bob Hope, James Garner, and a crowd of 6,000 for the pro-am on Wednesday. The tournament which began on Thursday was won that year by the 22-year-old rookie Jack Nicklaus, his second victory as a professional, following his win over Palmer at the U.S. Open in June. Please note there is a single page missing in the program that is signed by James Gardner on the front side. If you have Jack's first program/ticket, this is your chance to add his second - first non major professional win. As mentioned, in addition to the program comes the pairing sheet and five (5) pieces of unused original tournament letterhead.
