Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer & Jack Nicklaus Signed UDA 16x20 - Framed UDA #BAJ59554
Golf's King and Golden Bear took returning US Amateur 20-year old champion Tiger Woods around for 18 holes during the 1996 Masters Tournament's Wednesday practice round - and another 9 on the Par 3 course as if he was too good to be true. The day was captured in this single moment and turned into one of the most recognizable tee box photos in modern golf history. It was a passing of the torch from then winningest Masters champions Jack Nicklaus (6) and Arnold Palmer (4) to Tiger Woods at Augusta National. Upper Deck Authenticated used this oversized 'Golf Greats' depiction for their triple-signed photograph reserved for collectors of the UDA best-of-the-best, each with precise positioning and flawless formation in uniform silver sharpie. Nicklaus and Palmer were impressed with what they saw from the amateur prodigy from Stanford on April 10, 1996. “This kid is the most fundamentally sound golfer I’ve ever seen at any age. I don’t know if he’s ready to win yet or not, but he will be the favorite here for the next 20 years. If he isn’t, there’s something wrong,” Jack Nicklaus said. After proverbially having their hat blown off while test-driving the newest souped-up convertible, the legends got it right. As it stands today, 40 major championships and 15 green jackets are represented in this signed 16x20 photo. It is matted and framed tastefully in two shades of green.
