Original 1980 World Golf HoF Lawson Little & Henry Cotton Dom Lupo Painting Oil on Canvas - Framed
Revered 20th century golf artist Dom Lupo was commissioned by the Golf Hall of Fame, then in Pinehurst, to paint this original 1980 inductees class oversize oil painting that was proudly displayed there and then again in the World Golf Hall of Fame just outside of Jacksonville, FL. This jaw-dropping 29" x 36" centerpiece depicts Henry Cotton and Lawson Little from left to right and is now consigned as part of the World Golf Hall of Fame Collection. Lupo's tenure at 'Golf Magazine' spanned 25 years, with his Hall of Fame worthy work originals hung and prints made for the masses. Nothing comes close to the original oil painting, which is what is proudly presented here. Open champions of both major kinds, Lawson Little won the 1940 US Open, along with a pair of US and British Amateur titles. Sir Henry Cotton hailing from England, won Open Championships on either side of WWII in 1934, 1937 and 1948. Dom Lupo finished it off by signing and dating his tastefully framed work in the bottom right-hand corner.
