1926 Bobby Jones Lambert & Butler Rookie Card w/ Gourlay, Sweetser, Leitch & Boomer Display - Framed
Tobacco manufacturers Lambert & Butler were known to have slipped cards into their cigarette packs dating back to 1875. Most cigarette companies at this time practiced this method, to both to protect the cigarettes by adding more support to the pack as well as giving smokers added incentive to buy their brand in order to collect all the cards.
Here listed is a Bobby Jones Rookie golf card #2, adhered to the matting on the back with clear tape, along with the four other cards from that '26 Lambert & Butler set that is soon turning 100 years old. Surrounding the centered Jones are Miss Molly Gourlay, Jesse Sweetser, Miss Cecil Leitch, and Aubrey Boomer. This photo displays these golfers swings, each one unique and effective. This framed photo display measures 10" x 18".
