A Golfers Gallery' by Old Masters Introduced by Bernard Darwin


"With an Introduction by Bernard Darwin, this book then illustrates to it's readers 18 full-page mounted color plates. The paintings depicting golf or golf relatives in different forms are on card-stock leaves. Images are depictions from the 16th through to the 19th centuries. This was published in Great Britain by Country Life LTd in 1927. The book measures 16"" x 13 1/2"" and the illustrations include the following: 1. St. Nicholas’s Day by Jan Steen (At the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam) 2. A Girl with a Golf Club by an Unknown Netherlands Artist. Painted in 1595 (At Holdenby) 3.
