1977 United Voluntary Services National Conference Program
Helen Lengfeld founded the United Veterans Services which was previously the United Voluntary Services Services, host of the 1977 1977 United Voluntary Services National Conference Program. Lengfeld's son Lewis wrote this about the organization in his mother's biography for the organization "So the United Voluntary Services was born, 27 years ago, It was open to both men and women, and was dedicated to voluntary services, with very low dues structure and a severe limitation on paid help. It was not as social as the old AWVS, but it got the work done. Its motto came from General Bradley, who several years before had told Helen that he thought her mission should be to "Build a Bridge of Service: between the hospitals and the community." This program remains in good to very good condition, originally used for the event held at The Villa Hotel in San Mateo, California. Helen Lengfeld is mentioned inside (Monday, May 16th) as the National Anthem Welcome singer and UVS National President.

2. During extended bidding, you may only bid on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. Lots with only ONE or NO BIDS at the time of auction close will close at 10pm ET
