c.1931 Harvey Penick Warranted Hand Forged Accurate Anti-Shank Semi-Putter
Long before the 'Little Red Book' in 1992 or instructing Ben Crenshaw to his Masters titles in 1984 and 1995 this putter was produced with the name of the head professional at Austin Country Club. Penick was very familiar with the track when he took over in 1923 and stayed until 1971, as he began caddying there at 8 years old in 1912. This anti-shank "semi-putter" carries the very early Harvey Penick signature where head professional's traditionally had their stamp. Hickory shafts were fazed out for pyratone starting in 1931, dating this club that remains in good condition. 34"
