Bobby Jones & Babe Zaharias FDI Ceremony Stamps with 1981 Cachet
Bobby Jones is known for creating the Augusta National Golf Course and the Masters Golf Tournament. A little known fact is that he designed the first ever set of "matched clubs". He won 7 Majors, including 1923-1926-1929 and 1930; the British Open in 1926-1927 and 1930. He also won 6 amateur tournaments and played on 5 US Walker Cup Teams, being Captain in 1928 and 1930. He is in the World Golf Hall of Fame.
During her golfing career Babe Zaharias was victorious an astounding 41 times on the LPGA tour, with 10 of those being major victories. The larger-than-life Zaharias excelled in golf, basketball, baseball and won two gold medals in the 1932 Olympics in track and field competitions.
