Bobby Jones Ltd. Ed. #27/500 Portrait By Artist William Steene
A young Bobby Jones is tastefully depicted here by artist William Steene in this framed and marked Limited Edition #27/500 art portrait. This print was inspired by an image of Bobby in “Down the Fairway” described by O.B. Keeler as perhaps the best photograph ever taken of Jones. The original artwork was exhibited in the Grand Central Gallery, New York and in the Atlanta firm John Jarrell, Inc. This particular print was sold at Mort Olman’s ‘The Old Golf Shop’ in Cincinnati, Ohio, one of the first golf collector shops of its kind in America.
William Steene was born in 1888 and schooled in design and art in New York and Paris. Renowned for murals and portraits with originals displayed in many museums and public facilities. Professionally matted and framed. 17" x 20"
