George Duncan Brassie Wood Club - Scarce Splice Neck

3x Ryder Cupper and 1920 Open Champion George Duncan was well known for his fast pace of play, if he ever studied the line and shape of his shot, he had done it before he reached his ball. He even considered practice swings as almost being illegal! He was also a golf course designer. His much sought-after professional teaching and swing analysis skills lead to him being referred to as "the pro's pro."

The Duncan name is stamped in script atop this dark stained clubhead allowing welcomed contrast with the light blonde face finish. Weighting it down properly are both the brassie sole plate and head insert in the backside. Finally, this club features the rare/scarce splice neck which is seldom seen. This club remains in exceptional condition, as depicted in the accompanying lot photos, and remains one of the nicest Duncan’s we have seen for a club of this age. 40 1/2"
