Tiger Woods Signed 2004 Masters Embroidered Flag with '2005'
Carefully penned in black sharpie on a 2004 dated Masters flag is who many consider the greatest golfer of all time in Tiger Woods. Many patrons recognize the Tiger Roars around Augusta National Golf Club as unique to Woods' achievements at a higher decibel than the traditional birdie or even eagle. A year prior to his fourth of an impressive five Masters Tournaments this flag was produced for the 'Tradition Unlike Any Other.' Sourced from The Doug Sanders Museum Collection is this Tiger Woods Signed 2004 Masters Embroidered Flag, originally obtained through Sanders' connections and celebrity status as a staple in golf for over two decades. The 20-time PGA Tour winner Doug Sanders was picked as a member of the 1967 Ryder Cup Team and obtained the nickname "The Peacock of the Fairways" with his colorful wardrobe. With friends in high places, a typical pro-am tournament field Sanders took part in might have consisted of names such as George H.W. Bush, Neil Armstrong and Willie Nelson. A large number of items that Doug collected over his playing career and thereafter are on display at The Doug Sanders Museum. Sharing in the joy of collecting, the generated funds from this sale will help benefit the Doug Sanders Museum. A signed letter of provenance from the museum will accompany this item.
