The list of accolades for The Big Three is extensive. Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Arnold Palmer were golf and were regulars on the tee each first week in April. These three gentlemen left their pleasing black sharpie signatures on this Big 3 Invitational Hat. Here is the compelling list. Gary Player, a champion from South Africa won 163 tournaments worldwide. These included Masters (1961-1974-1978), US Open (1965), British Open (1959-1968-1974) and PGA Championship (1962-1972) "Arnie" Arnold Palmer won 62 PGA and 10 Senior PGA tournaments. In the Majors, he won four Masters in 1958-1960-1962 and 1964; the US Open in 1960; and the British Open in 1961 and 1962. "The Golden Bear" Jack Nicklaus won the Masters six times, 1963-1965-1966-1972-1975 and 1986. Jack also won 12 other Major tournaments, 73 PGA and 10 Senior PGA tournaments. He played on 6 Ryder Cup teams, being captain in 1983 and 1987. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
