1932 Bobby Jones The Traffic Club of Chicago G. Smock Low Gross at Park Ridge CC Trophy
Issued shortly after his Grand Slam achievement, this trophy features an extremely accurate casting of Bobby Jones putting. There are many figural images on trophies which claim to be Bobby Jones but this one truly is as exemplified by (from top to bottom): the center part in his hair; the tie and v-neck sweater; the forward press of his hands and heels together and slightly open stance while putting; and lastly his trademark shoes with the rounded top panel.
The 7 ½ inch figure stands on a 3-inch art deco metal base bringing the total height of the piece to 10 ½ inches. The trophy is inscribed on the front panel as follows: “G. Smock, Low Gross -76, The Traffic Club of Chicago, September 22, 1932, Park Ridge Country Club, Park Ridge Illinois. The golf club and ball are nicely intact.
The Traffic Club of Chicago, which still exists today, was founded in 1907 and started as a place where manufacturers and rail management could meet to improve their working relationships. 4" wide

Each lot has its own 30 minute countdown clock during extended bidding. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. Place your initial bids BEFORE 10pm ET in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you may bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. Lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 10pm ET
Extended bidding starts at 10pm ET, and each lot will begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid placed during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you
