Tiger Woods' Pro Debut 1996 GMO Hole-in-One Sunday Official PGA USED Scorecard!

"Hello World" is right! There are professional debuts and then there is what Tiger Woods did at the 1996 Greater Milwaukee Open. The tour stop that rarely attracted national media attention was put in position to hold the then decorated amateur Tiger's big announcement presser. Unchartered waters led to it taking place in an impromptu, locally rented tent from a restaurant down the road on that tournament-eve Wednesday. It was a standing room-only spectacle event that even an inattentive, tenured fire marshal would shut down. Young Tiger's Milwaukee, WI stay was elongated when he made his first cut in his first try - providing the 4th round on-course highlight that no one expected. Standing on the 14th tee in his earned Sunday at Brown Deer Golf Club, Tiger firmly gripped his club and swung with his patented precise fury - finding the bottom of the cup for his first professional hole-in-one! Two skips, a short roll, fist pump and a high five with the yet-to-be famous caddie Fluff next to a brand new Titleist bag. It was a 6-iron from 202 yards. Tiger Woods is special. The roar of the raucous crowd was a (billboard) sign of things to come.

Preconceived value constraints simply cannot be applied to this scorecard, expected to crush records and give this "priceless" Tiger Woods Pro Debut artifact a true market test. Used in the 1996 Greater Milwaukee Open September 1st Sunday final round, the official scorecard exhibits Tiger Woods’ time-period pencil signature on the bottom right ‘Competitor’ line adjacent to the seldom written “1” in the 14th hole par 3 square – marking the incredible feat. In type in the upper left-hand corner is ‘Woods, Tiger’ and his hometown of ‘Cypress, Ca.’ Co-signer Joe Daley was the playing partner that had a front row seat to the first professional episode of the Tiger Woods Show. It would be part of his 68 round and final addition to the cumulative 277 score that first week. From a macrolevel, this red and blue scorecard represents one of only two one-of-a-kind tournament-used items from that day. The other was the ball hit, recently commanding nearly $200k. This is THE visual for that hole-in-"1" with Tiger's pencil stamp of approval. A patrons ticket from this tournament garnered $99,000 in 2022 (yes, a ticket). There were thousands of tickets made but offered here is the one and only hole in one scorecard!

This scorecard is one of less than a handful of scorecards Irv Batten saved from his entire successful 26 year run as the PGA Tour Official Scorer. Batten had thousands of official tournament scorecards pass through his hands, and this is one he intuitively kept.

"I Guess, Hello World." These four words were said with a youthful smile at the eve presser of his professional debut at the 1996 Greater Milwaukee Open by the then 3-time US Amateur champion. In front of a vintage Miller Lite logo tournament backdrop the first of many iconic professional moments occurred - a great start to the week in which 20-year-old Tiger Woods' highlight would come during the final round Sunday with a 1 on THIS scorecard for hole #14.

Investor? Hobbyist? Museum curator? Tiger Fanatic? This acquisition will change everything. A letter of authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA) will come with this Tiger Woods signed official final round scorecard.
