Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Arnold Palmer & Sam Snead Signed 11 X 14 Photo at Preston Hills, Dallas, TX
The only time these four legends of the game played together just so happened to be in 1965 in Dallas, Texas - within the state lines of the local Hogan and Nelson. Palmer and Snead paired up in the star-powered exhibition against Hogan and Nelson. The Palmer vs. Hogan one-sided frustration ongoing, with Hogan refusing to call Arnold Palmer by his name or anything other than a "hey fella." With Nelson's ailing wrist and Hogan six years removed from victory on the PGA Tour, the Texans fell 5 and 3. Memorable is this piece of photography, the posed shot of each of the four side-by-side. This sepia tone example of it is signed in black sharpie by each, with Nelson signing twice after identifying more preferred positioning on the second try - uniform across the white of the respective shirt. The Masters Champions account for 28 major championships between the four. This photo exemplifies golfing greatness - and a moment in time in which four luminaries met for their only match. Each lot has its own 30 minute countdown clock during extended bidding. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. Place your initial bids BEFORE 10pm ET in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you may bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. Lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 10pm ET
Extended bidding starts at 10pm ET, and each lot will begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid placed during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you
