The 1960 Open was the moment when three eras and three remarkable careers collided, the end of Ben Hogan, the arrival of Jack Nicklaus and the coronation of Arnold Palmer. The Palmer "Charge" was born here as he came from seven strokes back going into the final round. The "King" birdied six of the first seven holes, shot 65, and defeated the young amateur Nicklaus by two strokes.

This badge from the Mangrum family comes in near-mint condition, and is accompanied by Lloyd's family letter.
