What would be considered nearly a full roll, each of these two-part (player and operator receipts) tickets include a unique serial number along with 'Arnold Palmer Putting Courses - Discount Ticket' with the top, Players Receipt, including their expansion 'Golfing is Fun Coast to Coast' and the Operators with the instruction to 'deposit that half of ticket in designated box.' Arnold Palmer was a marketer's dream in the 1960's and 1970's. He lent his name, image and likeness to countless products and services including: Penzoil, Hertz, United Airlines, putting courses of course, and even his own line of dry cleaners. Put the general of Arnie's Army on it and it will sell. While these Arnold Palmer Putting Courses have since shut their doors, leaving this unused roll of tickets as an uncommon sight, his name is engrained in the game of golf from the Arnold Palmer Invitational, to the drink, to statues and plaques in remembrance of The King at numerous courses worldwide.
