Large Lenox CAC Golf Pitcher - 14 Inches Tall!
Offered here we have a large over 14" tall pitcher with a 6" base diameter made by Lenox. This piece is in great condition, with evidence of repair made near the top, please see photographs for further detail. Two golfers, a caddie, and a clubhouse are shown on this piece in amazing green and white. The bottom is stamped "CAC Lenox." Lenox's Ceramic Art Company was run like an art studio, not a factory, in 1889 in Trenton, New Jersey. Having only 18 employees at the time, Lenox grew immensely in popularity, even being featured in a collection at the Smithsonian Institution in 1897. After seeing the great demand for fine home dinnerware, Lenox changed the company's name to Lenox Incorporated in 1906.
