Sponsors on John Daly's personal golf bag in this lot are a literal handful, drink companies to car dealerships - everyone wanted a piece. 'Hippo' was embroidered in black up and down the sides in a diagonal white stripe, with 'Sobe' and '84 Lumber' above and below. His 30 plus year sponsor 'Mark Christopher' Chevrolet gets the spot on his frontside pocket above the zipper, with 'Featherlite' below. Most importantly, his signature lion logo and name in the center of the main pocket, that with instant player recognition. The red, white and blue bag remains in excellent condition, with the logo logo on the bottom undisturbed as it was enjoyed in a display-only capacity. John Daly's University of Arkansas' John Daly won 5 times on the PGA Tour, including the two major championships. After his improbable night of driving as the ninth alternate l(literally) en route to winning the 1991 PGA Championship at Crooked Stick, he would unsurprisingly be presented with the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year honors. Sixteen other professional wins, many of those contributing to his PGA Tour card opportunity. Sports are a form of entertainment and few have done it as well as John.
