Jay Herbert Signed Firestone Country Club Scorecard - 1960 PGA Champ Win Site
There were only 13 sub-par rounds in the entire 1960 Championship contested at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. With those scores a different player turned up as the leader at the end of each round. Arnold Palmer captured the first round lead with a 67. The most important round however the final Sunday round belonged to Jay Hebert who fired a final round 70, for a one-stroke win over Jim Ferrier. Here is a scorecard from Firestone Country Club signed in fine-tip black marker on the South Course scorecard with the meaningful inscription '1960 PGA.' The scorecard advertises that is the home of the American Golf Classic and World Series of Golf along with the host of the 1960 and 1966 PGA Championships. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity (ALOA) comes with this lot.
