James Braid Cut Signature w/PSA Graded VG-EX 4 James Braid Card - Framed
With a discerning curator eye this extraordinary James Braid display was produced to showcase both the PSA graded 1927 WA & AC Churchman Famous Golfers - Small James Braid Golf Card #7. VG-EX 4 #17230881 depicting the Great Triumvirate in his backswing, as well as his nearly impossible signature in robust black ink. Measuring 10 1/2" x 15 1/2" and framed with depth to maintain both the signature and graded card's condition. James Braid won 5, yes 5, Open Championships. If World Golf Rankings existed during his time, Braid would likely have been atop the rankings during the first decade of the 20th century. Braid lived a life centered around golf, as a player, author, and golf course architect; he helped design over 200 golf courses, often being referred to as the inventor of the dogleg all before his passing in 1950.James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
