Jackie Pung Signed 'Hawaii's First Lady of Golf' Signature Hogan Golf Ball - '52 US Amateur Winner
Known as 'Hawaii's First Lady of Golf', Jackie Pung won on the LPGA Tour five times between 1953 and 1958. Pung's career-defining victory came at the 1952 US Women's Amateur. Pung also had a narrow miss at the 1957 US Women's Open when she signed an incorrect scorecard appearing that she had won the tournament by a stroke over Betsy Rawls, when she had in fact tied for the lead but was disqualified. Four years earlier she was runner up at the tournament. On this Ben Hogan brand golf ball is Pung's signature golfer illustration and a black sharpie signature from her. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity (ALOA) comes with this lot.
