'The Masters Was a Double Bogey Without You Bob Rickey - Stay Whole Now That You Won!" reads this hand-drawn sign from the staff and contributors to Augusta National and conducting the 'Tradition Unlike Any Other' - with over 75 signatures(!) including Jack Nicklaus and ANGC long-time Secretary, 4-time Masters Low Amateur, 1938 US Am champion and Bob Jones Award winner Charlie Yates. Inside the logo with Yates is the scribe of notable ANGC Executive Secretary Kathryn Murphy as well. The Golf Writers Association of America logo is also added to this poster in marker
Bob Rickey worked for MacGregor for three decades starting in 1944 as an advertising and public relations manager and working his way up to Vice President of pro golf operations, then marketing for all products in 1966 and then of customer and industry relations as the point of contact for staff members such as Jack Nicklaus. Rickey was a board member of the National Golf Foundation for 25 years, as well as on relation committees of the USGA and PGA of America. This white page of cardstock was mounted to cardboard as depicted in the accompanying lot photos.
