'This paper manufactured by Kodak' states the verso of this crystal clear photo, the original photo paper from 1972 until approximately 1989 in which this tournament was played. This lot features an autographed black and white photograph depicting professional golfer Jack Nicklaus and his Open caddie, Jimmy Dickinson, celebrating Nicklaus's victory at the 1978 Open Championship at the Old Course at St Andrews. The image shows Nicklaus holding a putter while Argea wears a white caddie bib labeled NICKLAUS. A golf bag in the foreground is fitted with a tag that reads JACK NICKLAUS. The photograph is hand-signed in blue ink across the center of the image. The reverse side of the photograph is printed on Kodak photographic paper, featuring a repeated watermark that reads THIS PAPER MANUFACTURED BY KODAK. A handwritten identification in black ink in the upper left corner of the reverse reads NICKLAUS 78 OPEN.
