Jack Nicklaus Signed 1961 US Amateur Championship Official Program Pebble Beach - 2nd 'Major' Win
Official program for the 61st National Amateur Championship of the United States Golf Association, held at Pebble Beach Golf Links from September 11th to 16th, 1961. The front cover has been boldly signed in black sharpie by Jack Nicklaus, who won this championship as his final amateur Major title. The cover displays a color photograph of the Pebble Beach coastal landscape with spectators seated at tables under umbrellas. Interior contents include a welcome message from USGA President John G. Clock, and a two-page stylized map and official scorecard for Pebble Beach Golf Links. The program features several articles, including The Crosby Clambake, which contains black and white photographs of celebrities such as Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Phil Harris, Ken Venturi, and Jimmy Demaret. The 65 year old program remains in excellent condition with strong binding with inner pages and covers free from rips or tears with only the slightest wear to cover.
