Jack Nicklaus Signed 1960's Original Photo PSA Type 1 Authentic #84127950
This very photo was used as an exemplar for PSA's Jack Nicklaus 'Autographfacts' segment documenting the Golden Bear's signature transformation from the early 1960's illustrated here until present day. Ballpoint pen, preceding the sharpie's placement in each home, was Nicklaus' writing implement of choice on this incredible, early PSA Type I black and white posed photo of the youthful Jack Nicklaus signed for his then neighbor 'Pam.' A landscape orientation, the gelled-hair Nicklaus is perfectly framed in this early 1960's photo. Digging deeper into the signature formation, PSA describes Nicklaus' early work as 'flamboyant' and 'large' and we certainly agree. Adding to those descriptors, Jack Nicklaus is very thoughtfully formed with each of the 12 letters legible in his first and last. PSA has encapsulated this photo for the highly coveted Type I valuation, presentation and as an investment preservation. 8" x 10". Ohio State quarterback Pandel Savic's life is detailed in the accompanying book that is forwarded by Barbara Nicklaus. Highlighted is his fellow Buckeye Jack Nicklaus' early career schedule that includes a 1962 National Pro-Am in which he played with Savic, which also shows this exact signed photo. The book remains in good condition, with the highlighted Nicklaus excerpt. With three orange page markers identifying the Nicklaus content, there is even an image with a facsimile signature of a time-period, early Jack Nicklaus.
