The 10 year anniversary of the inaugural Ryder Cup was contested across the pond at the Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club, watching Non-playing captain Walter Hagen guide the vising United States team to a dominant 8 to 4 victory over foes Great Britain. The posed team shot is signed by pictured: Horton Smith, Ralph Guldahl, Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Henry Picard, Gene Sarazen, Byron Nelson, Johnny Revolta, Denny Schute, Ed Dudley, PGA President Fred Corcoran, and Tony Manero. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed these signatures and their letter of authenticity #ZZ02231 comes with this lot. Please note that all signatures are deemed authentic except for the Sam Snead signature. Also, the inscription "1937 Ryder Cup Team" was penned in an unknown hand. Both of these situations are full acknowledged on the letter of authenticity, please view photos. 5" x 8"
