Harry Eliott Framed Color Print of a Comic Golf Scene
A framed color print on paper after an illustration by Harry Eliott, titled Golfing With Friends. The scene depicts a humorous 19th-century golf setting featuring a central figure in a red tailcoat, yellow waistcoat, and white breeches mid-swing. A youthful caddy stands in the mid-ground shading his eyes as he watches the ball's trajectory, and a white terrier dog sits in the grass to the right. The landscape is rendered with stylized trees in autumnal hues of green and orange under a blue and white clouded sky. The print is presented with a cream-colored mat featuring a dark blue beveled inner border, housed under glass in a coved gilt-finished frame. A printed black script signature reading Harry Eliott is present in the lower-left corner of the image. The reverse of the frame is sealed with brown paper and bears two white adhesive labels. The top label is printed Gifts for the Golfer / 513 Sparkleberry Dr. / Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 / Tel 843-655-1538, and the bottom label is printed Art & Frame / Professional Framing, LLC / 843-236-4370 Myrtle Beach / 843-650-9767 Murrells Inlet. A small plastic bag containing metal hanging hardware is attached to the hanging wire. 15" x 18 1/2"
