Mr. Punch's Golf Stories, a volume from the Punch Library of Humour series, edited by J. A. Hammerton. This octavo-sized book is bound in the publisher's original dark maroon cloth with gilt-stamped lettering and a caricature of Mr. Punch on both the front cover and the spine. The spine is also gilt-stamped with the series number 19 at the base. The title page identifies the work as being told by Mr. Punch's Merry Men and features 136 illustrations by notable artists of the period, including Phil May, George Du Maurier, L. Raven-Hill, F. H. Townsend, Harry Furniss, E. T. Reed, Bernard Partridge, F. Pegram, A. S. Boyd, A. T. Smith, A. Wallis Mills, David Wilson, C. E. Brock, Gunning King, C. Harrison, G. L. Stampa, and Tom Browne. The book was published by arrangement with the proprietors of Punch by The Educational Book Co. Ltd. The final page contains a printed mark for the printers Bradbury, Agnew, & Co. Ld., located in London and Tonbridge. The interior consists of numerous black-and-white comic illustrations and satirical text centered on the sport of golf.
