Here is the first of Kenneth Reed's Artist Proofs of the 17th Hole at St Andrews that is commonly referred to as the Road Hole. Past Champion Golfer of the Year Gary Player was presented this exemplar of the print that would go on to be published by Golf Magazine. The detail and coloring in this watercolor piece brings the viewer's eye in, intrigue found in the foreground, middle ground and background. 20 1/2" x 27 3/4". A signed letter of provenance from the Player family comes with this lot.
