Gary Player PGA of America Honorary Membership Presentation Set with Certificate and 2011 ID Card
A group of six items related to the honorary membership of professional golfer Gary Player in the Professional Golfers' Association of America. The collection includes a printed certificate on heavy white cardstock inscribed with the name Gary Player and the date December 6, 1974. A printed gold-tone logo for the Professional Golfers' Association of America is located at the top center. Also included is a formal letter on organizational stationery dated December 15, 2010, addressed to Mr. Gary Player at 11390 North Jog Road, Ste 100, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418-1755. The letter discusses the organization's 95th anniversary and includes a handwritten ink signature reading Allen Wronowski. A plastic membership identification card for the year 2011 features a portrait of Gary Player, his membership number 10599911, and the original bestowal date of Dec. 6, 1974. The reverse of the card features a standard black magnetic stripe. A gold-toned metal lapel pin is included, featuring the logo and a banner reading HONORARY MEMBER. The reverse of the pin is textured with a rectangular embossed mark that reads TOURNAMENT SOLUTIONS. The pin is housed in a navy blue velvet drawstring pouch with a gold foil logo matching the pin design. The collection is contained within a white cardstock pocket folder with a gold foil logo on the front. The reverse of the folder is printed with contact information including the address 100 Avenue of the Champions, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33418 and the website pga.com.
