Early 1900's Weller Dickensware Dual-Handled Male Golfer Vase

A strong entry from the pottery category is this Weller Dickensware antique vase with two handles that meet at spout. Weller Pottery started making utility wares like jugs and jars in 1872 in Fultonham, Ohio. In 1889, to keep up with demand and competition, they started producing decorative art pottery. Charles Upjohn designed the Dickensware line, in tribute to the characters of Charles Dickens, from 1895 until 1904. This example features a male golfer at top of his back swing. Stamped on bottom. This example remains in good condition, please inspect the accompanying lot photos for a detailed condition report. 7"
