Demaret, Palmer, Sarazen, Ford & others Signed 1959-1960 'The Masters Tournament' Augusta National Golf Club Booklet by Bobby Jones

One of Bobby Jones' most important written publications lies in this lot, from 1960, titled 'The Masters Tournament: Playing The Masters." With a black and white time-period photograph on its soft cover Par 3 course architect drew the hole depictions for the main ANGC course inside. This example remains in good to very good condition with very slight, but expected discoloration. While Jones never won his tournament, there's no question he knew it best. This special example of the rare print by Jones is signed by numerous champions and stars of the day including the penmanship of the tough three-time winner Jimmy Demaret. Along with Demaret, there are time-period signatures inside the booklet of: Arnold Palmer, Gene Sarazen (near Sarazen Bridge depiction), Doug Ford, Julius Boros, Dick Mayer, Chi Chi 'Juan' Rodriguez, and Tommy Bolt. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity (ALOA) comes with this lot.
