Dave Stockton Signed 1970 Golf World Magazine & 1991 Ryder Cup Patron Badge
This lot consists of two pieces of sports memorabilia signed by PGA Champion and Ryder CUp captain Dave Stockton. The first item is an original issue of Golf World: The Golf Newsweekly, Volume 24, Number 14, dated August 25, 1970. The cover commemorates Stockton's victory at the 52nd PGA Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and depicts him alongside his wife Kathy. Stockton has hand-signed the cover in black ink across the lower portion of his shirt. The second item is an official patron badge from the 1991 Ryder Cup matches held at Kiawah Island, South Carolina. The badge features the Ryder Cup logo and serial number 13094. It is signed in black marker by Stockton, who served as the winning captain for the United States team during the tournament. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity (ALOA) comes with this lot.
