Darren Clarke Signed 2003 WGC NEC Inv. Championship Flown Hole 1 Embroidered Flag
Darren Clarke was firing at Firestone at the 2003 World Golf Championship NEC Invitational taking home the big check over $1 million and taming Tiger 6-strokes back in a t-4. A sizzling 65-70-66-67 won by four strokes. This flag was flown on the first hole, designated by the embroidered '1' opposite the year '2003' in the same thread. Open Champion Clarke left his black sharpie signature in the upper left-hand corner culminating in a unique pairing. There is light overall wear as depicted in the accompanying lot. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity (ALOA) comes with this lot.
